　　We are looking for:

　　Syensqo is looking for a Laboratory Technician in our technology solution department. In this role the main accountabilities are to ensure accurate and timely analysis of all routine and non-routine samples. The Solvay Tempe laboratory supports our mining business in the field of solvent extraction (wet chemistry). Performs duties in a manner that supports site SHE, quality and business key objectives. Support advancement initiatives in the areas of Safety, Zero Defect, Customer Focus and Operations Improvement through utilization of a continuous improvement culture. Ensure strict adherence to site quality policy and procedures.

　　We count on you for:

　　Perform routine and non-routine analysis required by the site. The site laboratory supports Solvay’s mining business in solvent extraction (wet chemistry) and mineral processing.

　　Recognize and suggest resolution to method problems.

　　Recognize and properly communicate process upsets.

　　Understand and work with a variety of computer software packages including: Google and Microsoft platforms.

　　Maintain and progress 5S, visual workplace, housekeeping, and lab improvement tasks.

　　Follow and adhere to all site and regulatory requirements including proper handling of laboratory waste.

　　Conformance to all safety, quality, customer, regulatory and statutory requirements.

　　Other duties as assigned.

　　Ability to work standing for extended periods of time and periodic need to lift items up to 50 lbs.

　　You will bring:

　　Bachelor of Science Chemistry or other related field

　　Must be able to interact and communicate with sales team personnel and supervisors.

　　Must be able to provide accurate and timely analytical results while managing multiple sample sets and laboratory projects. Main instrumentation includes atomic absorption (AA), ICP-OES and XRF.

　　Must have a high degree of initiative and actively seek new tasks and job responsibilities.

　　Requires regular, dependable attendance.

　　Able to organize and work on multiple projects and assignments at the same time.

　　The U.S. base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this position is $45,000 to $50,000 per year. Since actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted base salary range. Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives.
