　　POSITION SUMMARY:

　　Marathon Petroleum Corporation, LP has openings for Lab Technicians at its flagship refinery in Garyville LA. This refinery has received top awards from OSHA and the EPA for environmental and safety excellence and offers competitive wages and benefits.

　　KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

　　Analyze crude oil and other feedstocks, process intermediates, and finished products which assist Operations and Products Control in optimizing unit operation and product blending, enter data into the Lab Information Management System, interface with Statistical Quality Control systems.

　　Must be able to work a 12-hour rotating shift.

　　EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

　　BS or BA Degree in Chemistry or other science-related field with 4 chemistry classes and 2 chemistry lab classes is required.

　　Good communication skills, a commitment to working safely, and the ability to demonstrate a high level of initiative and self-direction.

　　A Driver's License is required .

　　A Transportation Worker Identification Card is required upon hire.
