　　Vincennes University is seeking applicants for the Laboratory Supervisor position. This is a full-time, professional staff position located at the VU Main campus.

　　Duties and Responsibilities:

　　Prepares all materials and cultures for Biology laboratories and organizes/maintains stockroom, lab rooms and field equipment room.Maintains freshwater and saltwater aquaria and animals in terraria.Sets up and takes down equipment for laboratories as scheduled.Supervises open laboratory sessions.teaches selected laboratories up to 6 contact hours per academic year.Works collaboratively with the chairperson to maintain the departmental budget.Required Skills and Preferred Qualifications:

　　Proficient in word processing, spreadsheets.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work cooperatively with faculty, staff, and administration.Verbal communication skills both in person and on the phone are required```{=html}

　　```- Minimum of a Bachelors degree in biology, chemistry or related field is required; a Masters degree and laboratory experience are desirable.

　　Physical Demands: Normal physical demands for successful work in a normal office environment. Ability to lift equipment up to 40 pounds and work in a laboratory environment.
