　　Responsibilities for this Scientist job include:

　　Characterization of various lubricating greases using various methods:

　　• Tribological evaluations through ASTM/DIN methods using 4-ball, SRV, MTM as well as non-standard methods.

　　• Structural characterization through ASTM/DIN methods using shell roll stability, penetration, work stability, conical bleed, Lincoln Ventmeter, high temperature life, dropping point low temperature torque instruments.

　　• Evaluation of materials and tribo-surfaces using optical and scanning electron microscopy.

　　• Analytical testing using SEM-EDS, XRF, DSC and PDSC testing.

　　• Recording/Processing data as needed.

　　Assisting in R&D activities:

　　• Synthesizing greases using various chemistries in a small-batch scale.

　　• Synthesizing greases at the pilot scale.

　　• Post processing fabricated materials using various mixing, milling and QC methods.

　　• Blending test materials using various additive chemistries for characterization.

　　• Screening of raw materials for suitability.

　　• Recording/Processing data from R&D activities.

　　Qualifications:

　　MUST have previous work experience

　　Ability to work overtime as needed

　　Clean background

　　Detail Oriented

　　Must have working knowledge of basic hand tools
