ManTech has an immediate opportunity for a Program Manager to lead our Livermore, CA laboratory.
Our laboratory manufactures small, precision components and assemblies used for scientific research at various national labs and universities, as well as providing other technical and scientific support to our customers. Typical component materials include metal, plastic, crystals, and low-density foams which are used in millimeter scale assemblies. The designs change frequently, often requiring process research and development to meet the design needs.
The Program Manager functions as the primary source for business development, personnel management, customer relations, and technical knowledge.
Responsibilities
Lead business development efforts by maintaining and expanding business with current customers and identifying and approaching new customers
Lead team of highly skilled scientists, engineers, and technicians supporting various Department of Energy programs
Monitor and forecast contract spending and funds balance
Provide technical leadership with familiarity of targets used for Inertial Confinement Fusion (ICF) and other High Energy Density Physics (HEDP) experiments
Manage contract lifecycle: opportunity identification, estimate, quote, monitor, close
Interface with customers to communicate work progress and funding requirements
Lead building and laboratory maintenance efforts
Ensure efficient functioning of work order process and monitoring of quality processes
Manage inventory of government property
Verify accurate project time keeping records
Provide a safe work environment
Qualifications
A minimum of 8 years related technical experience and at least 6 years of managerial experience
Successful business development track record
B.S. degree or higher in Engineering, Physics, or Chemistry
Good written communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills
Department of Energy Q security clearance
U.S. Citizenship required
Physical Requirements
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
Frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
The projected compensation range for this position is $142,300-$205,400. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories. In addition, ManTech invests in it’s employees beyond just compensation.
