　　Bureau Veritas Montreal is looking for a Laboratory Manager to join our environmental laboratory in Ste-Foy, QC

　　Your main responsibilities are:

　　Provide technical expertise to laboratory staff;

　　Problem-solve solutions (technical, financial and human) in order to make the company more effective and competitive;

　　Ensure application of strategic plans;

　　Develop and nurture ongoing relationship with Customer Service and its customers - work to anticipate their needs and how best Bureau Veritas can meet and exceed their expectations;

　　Act as a positive change agent in supporting Bureau Veritas new initiatives (operational and cultural);

　　Provide a sage and healthy environment for staff and customers - ensure that required training is available and certificates up-to-date;

　　Develop and defend section's operating and capital budget;

　　Track and justify expenditures - creates ways to optimize financial resources;

　　Develop a strong and supportive relations with the General Manager - submit regular reports and suggestions for improvement on strategic and operational issues/concerns;

　　Develop and nurture strong communication channels with peers in the regions and corporate partners;

　　Ensure adherence to Bureau Veritas policies, ISO certification and Partners in Safety membership;

　　Ensure adherence to Bureau Veritas health and safety policies and practices.

　　You are an ideal candidate if you:

　　Have a B. Sc. in Chemistry or equivalent;

　　Have 6 to 8 years of experience in laboratory environment of which 4 at a leadership level;

　　Have excellent up-to-date knowledge of laboratory process and automation;

　　Are fully bilingual (English/French);

　　Have skills in customer service, mentoring, coaching, open communication, analytical, presentation, and overall highly-developed leadership skills;

　　Are dynamic, energetic and motivated.
