DESCRIPTION OF WORKAs a Laboratory Examiner, you are required to frequently travel throughout the Commonwealth to perform on-site evaluations of all areas of the clinical laboratory. You review records of the complexity of testing, laboratory personnel qualifications, instrumentation, quality assurance, laboratory management practices, and other factors to ensure compliance with all required regulations. You prepare either a letter of compliance, letter of deficiency, or a letter of adverse action to the laboratory director based upon the on-site visit. You evaluate the plan of correction received in response to a letter of deficiency, including supportive documents furnished and recommend for or against state licensure, or CLIA '88 certification to ensure that the laboratory is aware of its licensure and/or certification status. In addition, you review and evaluate data from alternative laboratory monitoring protocols to ensure the laboratory's compliance with applicable state regulations and federal requirements.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment, 37.5-hour work weekWork hours are 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch.Telework: Working from home (telework) is based on operational needs. This position requires frequent travel throughout the Commonwealth to conduct on-site inspections of clinical laboratories. You will have the opportunity to work from home (telework part time) when performing pre-inspection and post-inspection duties following successful completion of a one-year training period. Supervisor will work with you on a telework agreement and expectations. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Exton.Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.You will receive further communication regarding this position via email. Two years of professional laboratory work experience in a clinical laboratory, and bachelor's degree in a chemical science, biological science, or medical technology; orOne year of professional laboratory work experience in a clinical laboratory, and a master's degree in a chemical science, biological science, or medical technology.Other Requirements:This particular position also requires possession of a current driver's license which is not under suspension.
