A Laboratory Assistant position in Greensboro, NC is now available through Adecco Medical and Science. In this role, you will perform research activities and other tasks as necessary in a laboratory environment. Records observations and measurements and reports results. The work hours are Monday-Friday from 8:00am-5:00pm. This is a minimum 6-month+ contract role starting in February 2024. The rate of pay is $21.40/hr.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Performs research activities and other infrastructure tasks as necessary in a laboratory environment.
· Performs a variety of tasks following written, detailed procedures in a GLP (Good Laboratory Practices) compliant environment.
· Operate and troubleshoot various laboratory instruments independently, escalate issues to supervisor.
· Perform routine and non-routine operations GLP lab testing on pesticide formulations safely and efficiently, using chromatographic and non-chromatographic test techniques.
· Records observations and measurements and reports results.
· Responsible for cleaning, disinfecting, and maintaining lab equipment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
· BS Degree in Biochemistry, Biology or related degree.
· Minimum of 1-2 years' experience working in a non-clinical laboratory.
· Familiar with a variety of analytical laboratory concepts, practices, and procedures.
· Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in microbiology and molecular biology/biochemistry.

Pay Details: $21.40 per hour
