DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This position serves as the District Labor & Contract Compliance Agent (DLCCA)who is responsible for five major areas of coordinating and monitoring contract compliance for construction related provisions pertaining to Federal & State laws and PennDOT regulations. You will utilize the Engineering and Construction Management System (ECMS) web base system to perform related labor and contract compliance agent duties. Duties and responsibilities include attending most preconstruction meetings for our district to inform contractors of federal, state, and department requirements and procedures in the areas of labor compliance, safety, equal employment opportunity (EEO), disadvantaged business enterprise (DBE), and subcontracting.
In this position, you will review wage rates and classifications contractors submit prior to construction to assure compliance with the prevailing rates in all the contracts. You will also coordinate and submit to the proper union and the US Department of Labor or Pennsylvania Department of Labor & Industry, for approval, additional wage classifications submitted by contractors.Interested in learning more? Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment.Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:Two years of experience as a Transportation Construction Inspector 2 performing project documentation or contract compliance related duties; orTwo years of technical contract compliance or affirmative action work which involved the monitoring of a compliance program. An Associate's Degree in approved fields may be substituted for one year of experience; orAny equivalent combination of experience and training.Other Requirements:
