Job Description

　　Insight Global is looking for a laboratory technician for a large engineering consulting firm in Charleston, SC. The ideal candidate will organize, pull, and run compressive strength tests on concrete cylinder specimens. They will begin their day by pulling the list of cylinders that need to be tested, use the lift as a guide for which cylinders to pull, pull the cylinders, prep them for testing, and run the compressive strength tests. On average, they will test 75 cylinders per day and record all results on a computer. This candidate will also be cross trained for their soil labs that run a variety of tests on surface soils. They will tabulate, prepare, and submit data and observation notes in the form of written and digital reports daily for the associated Project Manager. Candidates should have excellent communication skills, maintain, and clean laboratory equipment, and adhere to strict safety standards.

　　Skills and Requirements

　　High school diploma OR GED

　　Hands on lab, construction, manual labor experience

　　Valid drivers license (clean record)

　　Able to pass background/drug screening

　　Good communication skills, eager to learn - Experience in a lab setting (similar to Terracon)

　　Prior experience working with soils and/or concrete null
