DescriptionPosition SummaryThe Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA)/Directorate of Science and Technology (ST)/Office of Space and Counterspace (SCS) and their mission partners have a need for scientific, engineering, and sustainment services to streamline the development, delivery, integration, and management of SCS's portfolio of programs. The purpose of this program is to support DIA's overarching mission of providing timely space intelligence to the warfighter through the Tasking, Collection, Processing, Exploitation, and Dissemination (TCPED) cycle. By leveraging a Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) approach, this program will consolidate and integrate DIA's technical collection capabilities to optimize data flow, eliminate service overlaps, evolve with leading-edge capabilities, and realize cost efficiencies to provide strategic informational advantages to the Government.This position will provide technical and project support of a systems engineering team working on current collection sites and defining the next generation of SCS systems. This position supports Systems Engineering & Integration activities in a multidisciplinary and collaborative environment.ResponsibilitiesDesign, plan, coordinate, execute testing and provide terminal operations support on the Family of Beyond Line-of-Sight Terminals (FAB-T), Air Force Command Post Terminal (AFCPT), Time Distribution Subsystem Pre Processor (TDSPP), Milstar Messaging System (MMS), Global Broadcast Service (GBS), Ground Multi-band Terminal (GMT), various other systems, subsystems and MILSATCOM devicesProvide engineering and technician-level support for each of the above systems, including integration, communication circuit troubleshooting, and system-level anomaly resolutionIdentify and isolate software or hardware defects to evaluate/assess system modifications for shortfalls or interoperability issues and provide technical assessments to the client with regards to the modificationsAuthor and deliver technical documentation including test plans, test procedures, system configuration diagrams, engineering studies, technical white papers, and test reportsRequired Skills/Experience:Motivated to learn and employ DoD/USAF test processes and documentationFamiliarity working with military or DoD civilian clients and managing professional relationshipsBachelor's degree in engineering, mathematics, physics, computer science, or equivalent technical discipline from an accredited institutionMust be a motivated, self-starter capable of autonomous on-the-job learning/improvementProficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)Excellent written, verbal communications and presentation skillsUS Citizenship and current holder of a DoD Top Secret clearanceAbility to obtain a DIA Special Compartmented Investigation (SCI)Preferred Skills/Experience:International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE) Certification (i.e. ASEP, CSEP, ESEP)Active SECRET clearance or higherFamiliarity with DoD/USAF test processes and documentation, preferably with Operational Test (OT) experience supporting a DoD Operational Test Agency or OrganizationKnowledge of DoD system sustainment missionExperience in technologies of Electro-Optics, Radar, Infrared, Magnetic, Nuclear, and small form factor sensorsExperience with ground and airborne systems, such as terminals and networksCompensation: Starting salary ranges from $145,000 to $161,000 depending on relevant experience and qualifications.Why LinQuest?LinQuest Corporation has a stellar 40-year track record of providing end-to-end system-of-systems (SoS) architecture definition, engineering design, integration and test, and operations expertise to enable full lifecycle development and deployment of pre-eminent Space, Air, Land, Sea, Ground, and Cyberspace game-changin
