Job Responsibilities
Receiving assignments of limited scope and complexity (usually minor phases of broader assignments). Assist more senior engineers in carrying out technical tasks.
Elements of project engineering including prepare of cost estimating project cost controls and progress reporting to client. Assists with management of project deliverables and engineering / project schedule.
Preparation of review and approval of mechanical specifications for processing equipment (e.g., pressure vessels, piping systems and components, pumps, compressors, heat exchangers, storage tanks).
Preparation of Scope of Work and Contractor Bid documentation packages. •Review and approval of piping designs prepared by Mechanical/Piping designers. This includes prepararation of stress analysis reports, equipment data sheets, and development of piping specifications.
Assisting in the ongoing development of TWD internal systems to improve our quality and efficiency of delivering effective projects to clients. •Willingness to partipate in and conduct field investigations. Provide engineering support in other areas of engineering discipline (e.g., civil, structural, electrical, etc.) as applicable

Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
2‐4 years of working experience from graduation, with experience in sectors such as mining, O&G, or renewables •Registration, or eligibility for registration, as an Engineer in Training with APEGA is required •Demonstrated understanding of engineering theories and principals, and familiarity with industry codes such as ASME B31.3, BPVC, B149.3 etc... •Beginner to Intermediate skills with drafting tools such as AutoCAD or CAE tools such as Compress, Caesar II etc... are desirable •Able to conduct detailed calculations to ensure that designs meet engineered standards and applicable codes •Experience with multiple phases of projects including preliminary and detailed design, tendering, construction supervision and commissioning is an asset •Valid Class 5 Motor Vehicle Operator's License to facilitate independent travel to project sites and other office locations
