Responsibilities:
Evaluate existing and new regulations
Develops new programs and implement changes as necessary.
Interface with EHS regulatory agencies.
Be recognized as a program liaison to external agencies.
Prepare for and conduct inspections with agency representatives present.
Prepare reports, responses to inquiries and conduct monitoring.
Design, develop and implement EHS programs.
Maintain continuously improve EHS programs to support.
Assess EHS practices to management term liability for planning, acquisitions, etc.
Design, develop and implement training programs.
Implement document procedures/policies.
Determine impact of new operations/processes/capital projects upon the EHS programs.
Developing program changes necessary to support business objectives.
Analyze existing and future processes to identify cost-effective solutions to reduce EHS impacts.
Design and implement programs for conducting periodic audits/inspections.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in chemistry
Two (2) years of Previous Experience
Chemical Management including storage
Segregation and compatibility
Maximum Allowable Quantities (MAQs)
Fire Codes (e.g., NFPA 400)
Chemical inventory.
Availability for first shift
