Job Title: Jr. Accountant

Job Summary : The Jr. Accountant is responsible for the creation of sales invoices, reviewing and analyzing all related bulk fuel payment invoices and ensuring payments are made timely and accurately, completing weekly and monthly journal entries and accounting estimates and assisting the Supervisor of Back Office Fuel Accounting with other tasks, as needed.
Principal Duties :
Review and process the payment of all bulk fuel hydrocarbon purchase invoices, which includes the verification of price, units, and location to SolArc RightAngle, as well as all pipeline and terminal monthly fee invoices which require approval from the trader. Initiate wire or ACH for all payments, ensuring that payments are made in accordance with strictly adhered to payment terms. Research and pay any fees and/or taxes on the invoice. Assist with ethanol payments during month end close and as needed.
Research and resolve any purchase invoice discrepancies with the seller, if possible, based on SolArc RightAngle deal details, contracts or broker deal confirms to determine if the invoice has an error. If the discrepancy is unclear, the issue should be escalated and communicated to the Front Office or Middle Office to be resolved.
Track any unpaid transactions during the month and follow up with the counterparties for timely receipt of invoices. Maintain a clear list of open payables in SolArc RightAngle to mitigate risk of duplicate payment.
Create Wawa Sales Invoices for any bulk fuel product sold to vendors and adds any additional tax and transportation fees agreed to by traders/buyers. This also includes maintaining a detailed copy of the scheduling sheet, which is checked daily for any changes or additions, so all sales invoices are sent timely to the buyer. Discard any duplicate transactions that do not result in additional invoices.
Create and send sales invoices for one off items such as demurrage costs, terminal pumpout sales and transmix sales to the counterparty.
Research any discrepancies communicated from the buyer on sales invoices and work in conjunction with Front Office and Middle Office when needed to resolve all issues.
Complete all tasks associated with Supply Book and Economic Trading RINs which entails keeping a log of all RIN transactions, creating sales invoices, requesting PTD files from the RIN admin and sending all required documents to the buyer.
Compile and distribute weekly GP estimate information, such as the realized bulk sales email and fuel and non-fuel strategy slides.
Assist in the weekly and month end accounting close for bulk fuel, including the preparation of journal entries, as needed.
Assist with month end bulk fuel inventory reconciliations, as needed, to ensure completeness and accuracy of all monthly activity in SolArc RightAngle vs SAP and record findings in the bulk reconciliation to be processed before the following month end.
Review the broker statements on a daily basis for any Margin Calls and initiate approval process with the fuel traders and make same day payment on the call.
Create and maintain all vendor information within SolArc RightAngle and works with other departments to maintain the same accurate information within SAP.
Maintain supporting documentation in the applicable deal folders for all transactions and provides bulk fuel information needed by other departments, such as BOL details and throughput reports, deal details, and purchase and tax payment details.
Perform special projects (ad hoc analysis and reports, etc.) and other duties as assigned.

Availability to work some nights and some holidays as fiscal calendar dictates
Basic Requirements :
College Degree in Accounting/Business preferred
1-3 years experience in Accounting/Finance
