ManTech is seeking a highly motivated and career-oriented Modeling and Simulation Engineer for a prime contract. This position in support of our government customer in Alexandria, VA, and requires 1 - 2 days of on-site work a week.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Provide modelling, analysis and simulation-based analyses and visualizations.
Execute rapid evaluations of technology pilots and demonstrations to assess capabilities and potential applicability to CBP mission needs.
Support system level test objectives development and assess/verify test performance. Provide support for execution of Test and Evaluation events. Support the Verification and Validation activities associated with test events.
Support the technical review process and assess performance and work products as related to systems engineering, modeling, simulation, and sensors.
Develop new models and leverage existing models to conduct analyses, derive results, and form actionable data-driven recommendations for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Provide recommendations for modeling tools, approaches, and best practices.
Participate in Technical Interchange Meetings to review software, modeling, simulation, and sensor development schedules and ensure alignment/integration with planned systems engineering and test activities.
Provide systems engineering expertise and technical guidance on a wide range of activities and missions supporting pilot technologies and demonstrations as well as legacy fixed, mobile, and portable systems for border security.
Review products, processes, and systems on an ongoing basis to determine where improvements can be made and how best practices can be implemented when executing engineering activities.
Minimum Qualifications:
More than 3 years relevant technical experience in systems engineering and activities – experience in data analytics, modeling & simulation, and artificial intelligent knowledge/experience highly desired.
Experience with software development and modeling & simulation tools (MATLAB, AFSIM, STK, or others) is desired.
Experience with software development using Python, C/C++/C#, Git, etc is desired.
Demonstrated understanding and application of predictive analysis, modeling, and simulation in concept outcome sensitivities and strategic planning is desired.
Test and Evaluation planning, conduct and reporting experience is desired.
Requires a detail-oriented self-starter experienced in supporting senior Government leaders and other technical/business professionals.
Experience in data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau. Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Project and SharePoint are required.
Superior customer interface at senior levels of management with excellent oral and written communication skills are critical.
Demonstrated understanding of requirements analysis, development and management processes.
Experience with DHS joint operations, DHS acquisition policy, DHS systems engineering lifecycle is highly desired.
A bachelors degree and at least three years of experience is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Technical writing experience is highly desired.
Knowledge of CBP and DHS regulations, principles, and practices pertaining to logistics support functions as well as knowledge of program planning, funding, and logistics management information systems.
DHS or DoD Systems Engineering Certifications desired.
Knowledge of database creation and usage is desired.
Clearance requirements:
Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain CBP public trust prior to will be required to starting.Physical Requirements:
Must be able to remain in a stationary position approximately 50% of the time.The projected compensation range for this position is $71,400-$119,000. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
