Robert Half is seeking licensed attorneys to join ongoing legal research initiative as Legal Editors.

Project information:

Start: February 2025

Duration: 3 months with possibility of extension

Pay: $30/hour

Location: Remote

Hours: 40 hours per week, M-F

Responsibilities include:

This project will test the outputs from a Large Language Model (LLM) that is being tested for the creation of AI generated research answers, draft US legal content, including memos and briefs; and summaries of US legal content types, including opinions and statutes. The editors will be asked to evaluate the accuracy of both the answer, summary, or draft content, and any statutory rules or case citations contained within the output. For both tasks, editors will be required to provide assessment rating feedback and to provide additional feedback commentary as necessary.

Requirements:

Law degree required.

1 to 5 years’ litigation experience

Will consider advanced degree plus license to practice

Will consider recently retired licensed attorneys

Working knowledge of Excel spreadsheets and ability to learn new software

Strong legal research and legal analysis skills in addition to high degree of familiarity with US legal content/documents

Ability to learn quickly and to work in an agile manner, shifting/pivoting to new assignments as needed

Strong attention to detail

Ability to work with multiple software-based tools

Good written communication skills and the ability to communicate regularly with your Leads and Managers

Comfortable asking questions

Capable of providing a large volume of work in accordance with quotas that may be set

Experience in providing high quality feedback rating analysis as well as additional comments on products being tested.

Requirements • Proficiency in conducting thorough Research on various legal topics.

• Strong emphasis on Quality work, with attention to detail and accuracy.

• Ability to Review and analyze complex legal documents.

• Excellent time management skills, demonstrated through the "About Time" attribute.

• Proficiency in using Spreadsheets for data organization and analysis.

• Strong ability to Answer queries and provide legal advice.

• Experience working in Agile environments and adaptive to change.

• Extensive experience in Legal Research, including use of legal databases.

• Ability to prepare comprehensive Summary Reports on legal findings.

• Familiarity with Artificial Intelligence (AI) applications in the legal field.

• Excellent Written Communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.

• Possessing additional skills or qualifications (A Plus) will be highly regarded.

• Knowledge of Assertion Markup Language, or similar legal documentation languages.

• Experience in drafting and reviewing Briefs for court proceedings.

• Understanding of Statutory laws and regulations.

• Familiarity with various Statute laws and their implications.

• Prior Litigation Experience, preferably in a similar field.

• Must be a Licensed Attorney, with good standing in the state bar.

• Possession of an LLM degree or equivalent higher legal qualification.

• Law Degree from a recognized university or law school.

• Familiarity with various Content Types used in legal documents.

• Ability to perform administrative tasks such as Photocopying/Scanning documents.
