JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Developer position is responsible for working withindividuals to seek and obtain employment, guiding clients throughentire employment process. Provide work readiness training andassistance for specific jobs. Will assist FEPs with Job Retentionservices. May assist in vocational assessment, career goalidentification, career plan development, work readiness and job searchtraining in conjunction with career planners and other staff. Mayobserve program participants, interact with supervisors to gain insightinto participant work behaviors and provide supervision of worker(s).Primary function of the position is to identify employment opportunitiesand place individuals in the W-2 program into subsidized andunsubsidized employment. This includes holding or participating in jobfairs, meeting with employers, meeting with participants and their W-2Career Planners for the purpose of matching or placing them into jobs,conducting site visits at subsidized employment sites, and other tasksthat are related to developing relationships with employers. Thesecondary function is to contact and forge strong partnerships withother social service providers and employment programs across themulti-county service area. Target is to establish links and process forseamless referrals/warm hand-offs so customers can obtain serviceseither not provided by WRI/W-2 or which enhance available resources tomeet customer needs. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:Excellent interpersonal, team-work, problem solving, communication andcomputer skills, positive work ethic, ability to maintain accurate,neat, and complete records required. Knowledge and experience invocational assessment, particularly with persons with disabilities,career planning, work readiness and job search training desirable. Jobrequires a valid driver\'s license and access to dependabletransportation.
