　　Your Role and Responsibilities

　　Do you have a background in traditional WebSphere Application Server? Would you like to leverage those skills while also building new ones by helping customers modernize their applications and deployments? The WebSphere Application Server Modernization Tools team may be just what you're looking for. The mission of this team is to assist customers, whether traditional WebSphere, WebSphere Liberty, or Open Liberty, in moving to the latest application server and specification (Java SE and Jakarta EE) levels. As a member of this team you will work with both internal and open source projects to design, develop, expand, and test modernization tools, blog about our new features, and work with customers to ensure a successful modernization journey.

　　Required Technical and Professional Expertise

　　3 or more years of applied experience with traditional WebSphere Application Server development including configuration

　　3 or more years of Java coding experience

　　3 or more years experience with providing customer support

　　Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

　　A working knowledge of delivering open source

　　A working knowledge of usage of GitHub

　　A working knowledge of HTML

　　A working knowledge of Python

　　Experience in writing blogs

The salary will vary depending on your job-related skills, experience and location. Pay increment and frequency of pay will be in accordance with employment classification and applicable laws. For part time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours. Benefits may be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year.
