Summary: This position is for five (5) hours per week. Employee responsibilities include cleaning the bathrooms, vacuuming rugs and carpet, sweeping, dusting, sanitizing surfaces, windows, washing walls, taking trash to the dumpster, mopping floors, straightening chairs and tables, picking up trash around the outside parameters of the building, raking leaves and snow removal from steps and sidewalk.
Examples of Performance Criteria and Expectations: Filling out time sheet accurately and making sure assigned duties are carried out effectively and efficiently, ability to be flexible with organizational changes and priorities, ability to organize and manage time efficiently, greeting patrons, establishes and maintains effective working relationships with fellow employees, supervisors, trustees and the public.
Cooperation and teamwork skills are essential. Does not abuse the use of materials, time, equipment or property in an unauthorized manner. Performs other duties as may be assigned. Strong written and oral communication skills are a must.
Safety related duties:
Follow the County's work practices
Report occupational injuries, illnesses, and near misses immediately to the Director
Follow supervisor instructions for obtaining first aid or medical attention
Participate in accident investigations as required
Participate in safety training
Suggest improvements in safety training or programs
Identify unsafe work conditions and unsafe practices. Correct hazards or report them to the Director as soon as identified.
Education, Training and Experience Requirements: High school diploma and 1 year experience in the field.
