　　General Summary:

　　Sourcing role, focused on the IT Category. Running a portfolio of IT sourcing events and negotiating the best possible value for Qualcomm. Aligns with internal stakeholders to identify their needs and requirements. Identifies potential service and product suppliers who can deliver best value to Qualcomm and satisfy project goals and objectives. Manages the supplier sourcing process for both products and services. Engages, analyzes, and evaluates supplier responses (e.g., RFP) according to category data, market data, should-cost models, and other analytics for accuracy, competitiveness, and completeness. Conducts negotiations with suppliers to ensure lowest total cost of ownership while achieving mutual goals, benefits, and objectives. Manages supplier contracts including reviewing and executing contracts, and ongoing relationship management activities.

　　Preferred Qualifications:

　　• 2+ years of industry-specific experience in Procurement, Operations, or related work experience.

　　• 1+ year of experience working in a large matrixed organization.

　　Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

　　• Identifies internal stakeholder needs and requirements for well-defined projects of limited scope.

　　• Assists in identifying potential service and product suppliers who can deliver value to project objectives based on an understanding of stakeholder needs and category knowledge.

　　• Cultivates an awareness of market and supplier trends (e.g., cost drivers, technology), sharing findings with team to support cost modeling and negotiations.

　　• Supports go-to-market procurement strategies based upon the needs of the business unit and guidance from senior specialists and stakeholders.

　　• Supports senior staff in developing procurement supplier selection criteria specifications to obtain products or services that are aligned with project goals and objectives with guidance.

　　• Assists with analyzing and evaluating sourcing mechanisms, supplier feedback and responses, according to outlined specifications or statement of work; supports the identification of appropriate suppliers.

　　• Acts as a contact with supplier including supporting initiation of the relationship, negotiating basic commercial and other legal terms, executing the contract, and managing supplier fulfillment.

　　• Makes low impact decisions as it pertains to one's own area of work.

　　• Collaborates with individuals inside own team to complete the team's work.

　　• Executes individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables with supervision.

　　Level of Responsibility:

　　• Works under close supervision.

　　• Responsible for own work. Decision-making is limited. Impact of decisions is readily apparent. Errors made typically only impact timeline (i.e., require additional time to correct).

　　• Requires verbal and written communication skills to convey information that may be somewhat complex to others who may have limited knowledge of the subject in question. Role may require basic negotiation and influence, cooperation, tact, and diplomacy, etc.

　　• Works within the prescribed budgetary objectives of the department. Erroneous decisions, failure to achieve results may cause delays in schedules and result in the re-allocation of some resources.

　　• All tasks are simple in nature, consisting of limited number of steps and can easily be referenced using directions or manuals

　　• Some creativity may be required to troubleshoot technical problems or deal with novel circumstances.

　　• Limited problem solving required, generally in the nature of troubleshooting simple processes or technology.

　　The responsibilities of this role do not include:

　　• Does not provide supervision to others.

　　• Has no influence over key organizational decisions.

　　• Does not have a role in strategic planning.
