  Job Description

  HII Mission Technologies is currently seeking an IT Operations Manager to support the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts. The candidate will be responsible for executing centralized coordination of event detection and response actions to operational and cybersecurity events across all IT service support tiers via enhanced event correlation/validation and tailored communications. As part of a high functioning team, the IT Operations Manager acts as the focal point for targeted communications to the courts and overall lead for the coordination of response actions.

  During major incidents, this individual will engage operational support partners and work collaboratively to investigate, confirm, and report on correlated impacts to other IT services ensuring the customer is well-informed of the full scale and scope of impact. The IT Operations Manager will also conduct operational monitoring activities facilitating proactive incident detection and response and participate in the performance of trend analyses to identify root causes to systemic problems and while leveraging continual service improvement methods and techniques to apply countermeasures before mission impact.

  This is a full-time remote position.

  Essential Job Responsibilities

  Operational Monitoring and Event Management: Monitor operational events to allow for normal operation and to detect/escalation exception conditions facilitating proactive incident detection and response. Ensure the measurement and control of IT services is based on a continual cycle of monitoring, reporting, and coordinated operational support/response actions for all IT services.

  Communications Management and Centralized Coordination: Operate and maintain a communications and coordination bridge to ensure handling of structured activities targeted at the central management of operational events, incidents, routine operational activities and reporting on the status or performance of IT services.

  Minimum Qualifications

  5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.

  2 years’ of relevant work experience including but not limited to working in IT Operations (service desk, network operations center, security operations center, and/or IT operations monitoring)

  Preferred Requirements

  Experience with Gartner Magic Quadrant application performance monitoring tools

  Understanding of ITSM best practices such as but not limited to ITIL
