Job Description
IT MANAGER, INFORMATION SECURITY, MIT Federal Credit Union (MITFCU), to develop, oversee, and coordinate the Credit Union’s information technology security, data privacy, business continuity, and IT vendor management programs. Will stay abreast of emerging threats, hot topics, and best practices; and collaborate with other IT functions to ensure patching and industry IT security standards are met and/or exceeded.
Job Requirements
REQUIRED: bachelor’s degree, preferably in a related field; at least three years’ IT experience, including experience in an IT security role; at least one professional certification, e.g., CISA, CISM, CISSP, or CRISC; professional knowledge of and experience with secure network architecture, systems and vendor risk assessment, systems monitoring and testing, vulnerability and threat assessment, risk and event remediation, identity and access management, business continuity and incident response oversight, testing, and governance; excellent management, organizational, analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, member and quality service, and written and verbal communication skills; proficiency with PCs, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and the internet; comfort providing member service in a virtual environment; attention to detail; team-focused; accurate typing skills and mathematical ability; and discretion with highly confidential information. Must be able to work effectively with all levels of management; conduct presentations and training programs, including communicating technical information to non-technical personnel; handle and successfully complete multiple projects/priorities simultaneously with minimal oversight; build relationships and strong alliances across the organization; and keep current on changes in technology and electronic and alternative delivery methods. PREFERRED: two years’ experience in a financial institution; experience using Sophos, Nexpose Security Console, Patch Management, and Knowbe4; and experience with core banking and other ancillary financial systems.
