　　Job Summary :

　　The IT Engineering Manager, Research will be responsible for leading Research IT initiatives around LIMS, Workflow, and transactional data capture systems in support of Protein Therapeutics, and Non Clinical Safety.

　　The ideal candidate will possess business acumen and technical background in a hybrid GxP environment, encompassing both on-premises and AWS infrastructure, as well as a good understanding of Drug Discovery and Development needs within the BioPharma industry.

　　Essential Duties and Job Functions:

　　Partner with Research capability leads product owners and managers to understand functional and feature requirements

　　Translate functional requirements to design and review with domain and enterprise architects as part of architecture review

　　Partner with vendors and Managed Service Providers (MSPs) to execute on delivery

　　Partner with cross functional IT security and infrastructure teams (Network, Cloud, Quality, Storage, Validation) to support IT initiatives

　　Serve as System Manager for operational systems ensuring operational security and GxP compliance KPIs are consistently met

　　Work with Enterprise Architects for Architecture Reviews for new technologies and use cases

　　Test new technologies and fit for Research

　　Serve as a system subject matter expert for major incidents and root cause analysis

　　Basic Qualifications :

　　High School Degree and Eleven Years Experience OR Associate's Degree and Nine Years Experience OR Bachelor's Degree and Seven Years Experience OR Master's Degree and Five Years Experience

　　Excellent interpersonal and partnering skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with Research scientists and technical teams

　　Biotech/Pharma industry experience is a must

　　Experience with AWS ecosystem and services and SaaS models

　　Knowledge of ELN/LIMS (Benchling), PreClinical LIMS (Ascentos), Genedata Biologics

　　Experience with Computer System Validation and GxP processes

　　Preferred Qualifications:

　　Experience developing and supporting .NET and SharePoint applications

　　Experience providing IT engineering services to support small to medium Research needs, including design, development, testing and technical documentation

　　Experience managing technical delivery through vendor and MSP resources

　　Experience managing Security and GxP KPIs

　　The salary range for this position is: $130,220.00 - $168,520.00. Gilead considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package.
