Job Summary:
Raytheon’s Product Support team is looking for an IT Engineer to join their team, in this role you will be responsible for providing software, platform, security, and system integration for new requirements levied on the system. You will be essential to rolling out new software patches and baselines by ensuring the system environment is configured in both the test and operational environments.
This Onsite position is in Springfield, VA.
Active and transferable U.S. government issued Top Secret / SCI security clearance with the ability to obtain CI Poly is required prior to start date.
Responsibilities to Anticipate:
Facilitate integration efforts to include upgrading and managing virtual computer systems.
Generate and evaluate alternative solution concepts and architectures.
Ensure dataflow by running system health checks for early detection of underlying system issues and is responsible for meshing the different system disciplines (network, architecture, systems, software, and administration) to buildout platform integration initiatives.
Manage VMWare ESXi virtualized platform running Red Hat Enterprise Linux operating system.
Manage NetApp (NAS) and Storage Area Network (SAN).
Work with software engineering and system administrators to identify and troubleshoot.
Investigate data anomalies, server / file-system issues.
Troubleshoot issues discovered during regression testing and provide feedback to software engineers for resolution.
Basic Qualifications:
Typically requires a Bachelor’s in science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior engineering experience.
Security certification (i.e., Security+, CISSP).
Experience with system vulnerability detection and remediation experience.
Red Hat Enterprise Linux experience.
VMWare ESXi experience.
NetApp (NAS) and Storage Area Network (SAN) experience.
Advanced troubleshooting experience.
Active and transferable U.S. government issued Top Secret / SCI security clearance with the ability to obtain CI Poly is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with cross-domain solutions, specifically High-Speed Guards (HSGs).
Experience with shell scripting and Perl scripting.
Experience producing detailed technical documentation.
Comprehension of Postgres and Mongo database principles and concepts.
Comprehension of application protocol LDAP.
Comprehension of network principles and protocols.
Comprehension of security and cyber appliances and protocols.
Comprehension of TCP/IP and transfer protocols such as ftp, sftp, ftps, and https.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work on a team under pressure to meet strict schedule requirements.

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
