IT & CM/DM Technical Manager
Position Summary:
KBR is seeking a Information Technology (IT) & CM/DM Technical manager to support the United States Space Force's (USSF) Satellite Control Network (SCN). The SCN provides highly reliable and secure data transfer, telemetry, tracking, command, control, and communications (TT&C3) for more than 195 Department of Defense (DoD), National Reconnaissance Office (NRO), civil, and allied satellites.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assists in the analysis of local and wide area network systems, including planning, designing, evaluating, selecting operating systems and protocol suites, and configuring communication media with concentrators, bridges, and other devices.
Assists with resolving routine inter-operability problems to obtain operations across all platforms including e-mail, files transfer, multimedia, teleconferencing and the like. Configures routine systems to user environments.
Interface with KBR Corp IT on systems such as new EDIMS & existing PIMs external SharePoint online/cloud environment as well as the sub system inside EDIMS
Supports acquisition of standard hardware and software as well as subcontractor services as needed.
Recognized as an external (Industry) thought leader within a strategic family or discipline. Influences the strategy for the Group to address internal or external business and regulatory/compliance issues.
Impacts Unit/Division/Group direction through the development of innovative services or products; works within customer requirements.
Oversee technology capital and operating budget, assess financial impact of proposed solutions, and reallocate resources to optimize achievement of strategic objectives. May provide input into research and development activities and budget allocations. Collaborates with senior management, customers, governmental agencies, regulators, or vendors to influence decisions.
Proactively identifies and solves the most complex problems that impact the management and direction of the business for assigned Group. Participate in the development of the product or business strategy for the Group. Guides multidisciplinary projects or initiatives.

Primary customer contact for IT & CM/DM areas of responsibility. Responsible for the overall performance of key areas and staff including all aspects of IT & CM/DM program. Provides specialized technical expertise in support of the IT & CM/DM program.
The ideal candidate has experience establishing professional rapport and interacts with the customer on significant Satellite Control Network (SCN) and related needing I& & CM/DM technical guidance.
Manager serves as the primary customer interface to ensure customer satisfaction for program IT & CM/DM issues. Responsible for ensuring work is accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner. Ensures awareness and monitors employee compliance with all applicable company, policies, and procedures. This position reports to the Mission Assurance Manager for day-to-day operations.
Interacts with external entities responsible for monitoring DSLM IT & CM/DM program as they relate to program/project schedule and expenditure or efficient use of resources, and overall quality of KBR contractual product deliveries.
Responsibilities:
Establishes and monitors organization objectives, work plans, schedules, standard procedures, and metrics to ensure resources are available for completion of all IT organization tasks and assignments.
Oversees the financial budget, quality performance, technical planning, and development for the program’s overall IT effort meeting cost, productivity, accuracy, and timeliness targets.
Collaborates/coordinates daily with customer reps to guide related IT & CM/DM strategies, problem solving/management to enable the overall team to better respond to program related problems or issues.
Leads the long-term IT planning process for the program and drives development processes and solution alternatives for this part of the program team. Uses judgment to interpret internal and external issues and develop best practices.
Conducts and provides minutes for IT & CM/DM program status reviews and contribute/participate as needed in Technical Interchange Meetings
Provide IT & CM/DM related content for program proposals.
Oversees both IT & CM/DM department employee timecard authorization, collection, and signing as well as travel authorizations and expense reports.
Reviews staff performance against goals. Plans, approves, and implements actions for the timely development and progress of individuals.
Basic Qualifications and Skills Requirements:
Must be a US Citizen and possess/capable of obtaining a DoD secret clearance.
A demonstrated ability to provide guidance and direction in relevant tasks to the areas of responsibility/staff (IT & CM/DM areas)
A proven expertise in the management and control of project tasking and resources.
Demonstrate ability to lead, guide/mentor and manage staff in multi-task contracts.
Must have excellent interpersonal and human relations skills.
Demonstrated strong analytical, problem solving and organizational skills.
As a IT & CM/DM technical manager, possess effective communication skills to deal with external government agencies especially in the area of IT & CM/DM program.
General knowledge of the SCN or other operating systems including IT & CM/DM technical management.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills Requirements:
Requires a college or university degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Typically requires 15 or more years of relevant experience. In lieu of formal education, at least 20 years of similar or related experience in areas described above.
Advanced Professional/Management degree/certification highly desired.
Basic Compensation:
Salary range: $127,000 – 160,000
The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
Additional Compensation:
KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
