There is an immediate opening for an IT Applications Manager within the IT Orchestration organization. This position is focused on leading the global team who support Steelcase's Product Life Cycle (PLM) suite of products. This team also provides support for Legal and Sustainability and Quality organizations. The mission of the team is to "Host a PLM platform, and its related processes and services, enabling our global community to shorten and improve the reliability of PD&L processes, while improving the design, launch, quality, and overall life cycle management of our products and product data. We are currently posting for one Management position within IT Orchestration - Americas: Manager, IT Applications. The position is based in Grand Rapids.
Responsibilities:
Lead the team that supports the Global Product Life Cycle (PLM) suite of products. This team also provides support for Legal and Sustainability and Quality organizations Partner with Materials, Logistics and OF leaders to align on priorities relating to Run the Business, Continuous Improvement and Project Work.Manages team resources, including recruitment, utilization, retention, and termination.Works with business stakeholders to set priorities for the team that align with business and IT strategic objectives.Manages staff career development by coaching and assisting in creating realistic goals and objectives.Responsible for conflict resolution, pay determination and effective communication.Responsible for managing the relationship with third party software vendors.Partnering with other IT leaders to coordinate and maximize all resources towards the best value for Steelcase.Ensures that departmental strategies and annual goals are aligned with overall organizational and IT goals and strategic roadmaps.Willingness to accept special assignments for both personal development and to assist the organization/company in achieving its strategy (examples include: Application Product Lead (APL) role, Application Delivery Lead (ADL) role, etc.)

Education/Experience:
BA/BS (or equivalent experience)Experience in one or more of these areas: Windchill PLM Platform and related applications, Product Development ProcessesL
