POSITION DETAILS
This position report to IT Manager. In addition to the CUNY title overview, responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
As part of the HCCS IT team will conduct assessment of end-point vulnerabilities and perform work to remediate issues.
Using various systems (Asset Inventory, Service Desk, Vulnerability Management, etc.) will help to maintain up-to-date records and accurate inventories.
Will provide in-person support to faculty, students and staff on various cyber-security issues. Assists faculty, students and staff, with use of cyber-security tools and techniques to support educational and institutional goals.
Support efforts to raise awareness of cyber-security-best practices among the HCCS community.
May conduct research to help develop base images for various endpoint environments.
Prepare appropriate FAQ and user guides.
May act as liaison with other ICIT Staff and areas, such as Systems and Network Administration, Media Services and Capital Projects, User Services, Application and Database Services, and ICIT Directors at Hunter Campuses, to evaluate and escalate reported problems, and disseminate information notices.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree required.
Ability to work with wide range of people; possess excellent customer service skills
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with colleagues
Possesses good computer skills both in Windows & Mac OS
Ability to prioritize a number of tasks
Possesses effective written and oral communication skills
CUNY TITLE OVERVIEW
Provides support to students and faculty in the use of instructional systems, software, and programs.
Researches and prepares program materials, FAQs, and user guides
Provides telephone and/or email support for faculty and student users of instructional systems, software, and programs
Develops training materials and delivers orientation/training sessions
Maintains on-line information on web sites
Acts as liaison to related areas such as CUNY's Computer and Information Services area, to evaluate and escalate reported problems, and disseminate information notices
Assists faculty with use of instructional technology to support educational goals
Performs other duties as assigned.

Salary commensurate with education and experience $44,411 - $57,517.
