Description
Summary: The Enterprise Payments Treasury Management Application team is seeking an IS Application Manager focusing on mainframe applications. In this role, this manager will build a cross functional team of 6-9, dedicated to providing day to day support of several applications along with working on our Commercial project portfolio. You will work closely with other application delivery teams as well as mainframe tech services, architects, business users/owners, product owners, product managers, scrum masters, and QA teams.
You will monitor the teams work and help establish priorities. The team will follow an agile kanban framework and ensure deadlines are met. This manager will provide technical leadership and guidance to the team.
You will be engaged on incident calls, guiding the team, and make sure the team is resolving the issues and finding root cause as efficiently as possible. If critical or high incidents, this manager will be engaged on the Problem ticket calls to discuss root cause and create steps on how we can prevent the issue from occurring again.
Your team is responsible for the following activities:
Project deliverables, for example, helping the product owner with epics and features
Helping with test scripts and either testing or helping QA group
Design and development from the developer resources
Implementation plans on project installs
Code changes for production issues
Fulfilling business data and research requests
24x7 on-call support rotation and this manager will be the escalation contact for any issues
Incident review and resolution, including root cause analysis
Support of Audit finding/action plan remediation and controls testing
Support and implementation of infrastructure projects and upgrades
Partner with stakeholders to understand business needs on projects and production support changes
Able to help team accept Core Modernization and follow new patterns to publish data/subscribe to access data
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree
7 years in an IT environment (Previous experience supporting mainframe applications a must ).
5 years managing and or leading teams
Preferred Qualifications:
Development and/or support experience in one or more of the following COBOL, DB2, CICS
Experience with batch and online processing
Knowledge of payment processing rails like ACH and Wires
Strong organization skills
Good communication and interpersonal skills for interacting and collaborating with developers, analysts, and business colleagues throughout the organization
Experience working with vendor applications is a plus
Understanding of Agile framework a plus
