JOB REQUIREMENTS: The IPS (Individual Placement Support) Supervisorleads the team of Employment Specialists who are responsible for thedevelopment and advancement of employment opportunities for persons withmental illness and/or substance use disorders, using traditional jobdevelopment and community outreach methods to produce desired results.ESSENTIAL DUTIES (FUNCTIONS) include the following: SupervisionSupervise up to 10 employment specialists at one time. Conduct weeklyvocational supervision with each staff member to review currentcaseload, consumer situations and identify new strategies and ideas tohelp consumers in their work lives. Accompany employment specialists whoare new or having difficulty- as defined by fewer than 40% of theconsumers on the IPS employment specialist caseload are employed or ifthe specialist has fewer than 3 job starts each quarter- with jobdevelopment, or any other job-related skills in the field, at leastmonthly to improve skills by observing, modeling, and giving feedback onskills. Document field mentoring, utilizing the Field MentoringChecklists for IPS and Job Development, and keep documentation in theEasterseals IPS SharePoint site. Review current client outcomes with IPSEmployment Specialists and sets individualized goals to improve programperformance at least quarterly. Ensure Employment Specialists enter intheir case notes within 24 hours of each visit and meet their setproductivity rates. Supervises assigned department personnel. Thisincludes the following responsibilities, but not limited to hiring,evaluating, training, scheduling, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and thecompletion of all work performed by direct reports.
