Robert Half Legal is partnering with a boutique IP law firm located in downtown Chicago that's seeking an IP Legal Assistant with at least 2-4+ years of experience assisting patent prosecution attorneys to join their team. This IP Legal Assistant will provide administrative assistance to lawyers by working on all aspects of patent prosecution (US and Foreign). This position is paying between $70-85K+ plus bonus and the company offers phenomenal benefits with a flexible hybrid WFH schedule (3 days WFH/week). IP Legal Assistant Responsibilities:

Maintain patent prosecution files and manage daily patent prosecution dockets while ensuring all deadlines are met.

Prepare routine patent correspondence, reports and responses for filing.

Prepare Information Disclosure Statements.

Manage emails, maintain calendars, schedule meetings and arrange audio and video conferences.

Assist with time entry, schedule and manage travel arrangements and expense forms.

Assist with opening of new matters; prepare conflict checks, engagement letters and new business intake.

Process expense reports, check requests, scanning, copying, word processing, and coordinate incoming/outgoing mail, faxes and emails.

Requirements

Bachelor Degree preferred

2-4+ years of experience in intellectual property required

Knowledge, experience, and understanding of patent procedures and e-filing procedures of the USPTO

Experience with PAIR and EFS-Web filing; CPI, EPAS and navigating websites such as EPO and WIPO preferred

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
