Summary This position is located in the Materials Management (NSLM) organization of Logistics Management (NSL) Supply Chain Services (NS), Office of the Chief Administrative Office (N), Bonneville Power Administration (BPA). The purpose of this position is to serve as the Materials Management Coordinator for material coordination and inventory management in the Materials Management (NSLM) organization. Responsibilities As an Inventory Management Specialist, you will: GS-9 Material Coordination: Provides dedicated project support to Bonneville Power Administration (BPA) projects as assigned by the Supply Management Specialist; includes, but is not limited to working with contracting specialists or officers, vendors and various project managers or BPA business owners to synchronize efforts and ensure effective support to line work while preventing work stoppages due to material deficits for BPA construction projects. System Equipment Record (SER) Tag Issuance & Processing: Serves as a point of contact at Bonneville Power Administration on SER Tag requests and processing. Work Order (WO) Reallocation & State Tax-Use Reporting Support: State Tax-Use: For assigned projects and material management activities assists the Supply Management Specialist. Material Request (MR) Support: Provides dedicated MR writer support on an ad hoc basis to business partners across BPA, meaning assisting project teams and field workers in drafting and/or approving MRs to support project schedules or ad hoc material requests. GS-11 Material Coordination: Serves as a technical expert for all material fulfillment/coordination functions for assigned projects, by managing simultaneous construction or maintenance and repair activities in various stages of development to ensure right place, right time, and right quantity for these activities. System Equipment Record (SER) Tag Issuance & Processing: Serves as solitary point of contact and technical expert at Bonneville Power Administration on SER Tag requests and processing. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: GS-09: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-07) in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this grade level defined as: Under supervision, planning and coordinating tasks associated with the timely acquisition and delivery of equipment and materials for multiple, simultaneous, ongoing and geographically separated construction projects; under advisement coordinates project dates and schedules, deconflicts need, and identifies and resolves discrepancies of stock or challenges in sourcing these materials; under supervision designs workarounds and communicates these to teams, overseeing their execution. You may substitute education for specialized experience as follows: Master's or equivalent graduate degree; or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree; or a LL.B. or J.D. if related; your education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work. -OR- Combination of education and experience as described above. Less than one year of specialized experience may be combined with graduate education in excess of the amount required for the next lower grade level (i.e., credit hours beyond the first year of full-time study may be credited). One academic year of graduate education is considered to be the number of credits hours the graduate school has determined to represent one academic year of full-time study. If the graduate school's definition of one year of graduate study is not available, 18 semester hours (or 27 quarter hours) is used. When crediting education that requires specific course work the number of hours of related courses required, as a proportion of the total education, is prorated.
