How you'll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities)
This position is responsible for accounting and audit activities for the Technical Operations division.
Accounting and audit activities entail identifying inventory as recorded in the system of financial record and comparing it to inventory stored at Delta locations. Audits are performed on a part-by-part basis and require physical verification of inventory on hand.
As part of your role, you’ll complete audits and related documentation to support the results of the audit. Workpapers created are subject to review by external and internal auditors.
You’ll work primarily in SAP, Excel, and other inventory related systems.
You’ll interact frequently with operations management and accounting/finance partners across the company to develop relationships to maximize results.

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)
Excellent time management, detail orientation, and interpersonal relationship skills.
Robust analytical ability, the capability to deliver results, and excellent organization.
Ability to effectively communicate audit status/issues to colleagues.
Ability to work on multiple contiguous tasks and changing priorities.
You’ll need to be able to engage the operation in a manner that enhances productivity and encourages operational transformation toward optimal cost efficiency.
Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.
Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.
Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.
What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)
One or more years of professional accounting and/or audit experience.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
Experience in warehousing and logistics.
Experience with MTAC and EWP (SAP Warehouse Management System).
Working knowledge of SAP, Hyperion, SAP Analysis for Office, Tableau, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
