POSITION SUMMARYReporting to the Operations Specialist, the Inventory Control Associate is responsible for the efficient daily organization of the distribution branch's warehousing locations; including but not limited to: Inventory management and research, maintaining inventory accuracy, organizing bin locations, maintaining product within a bin, and safety in accordance with the Company's objectives. Providing feedback with a sense of urgency & organization to achieve optimal results. Also, providing support to general operational tasks Schedule for the following position is Monday - Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pm with occasional Saturdays. Schedules are subject to change based on business needs. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES To accurately count and organize the warehouse bin locations. Work closely with the Distribution Center Manager to review and provide suggestions aimed to improve operational efficiency. Routinely performs warehouse walk through. Reviews & organizes warehouse bin locations. Utilizes stand up forklift to perform duties. Daily cycle counting. Daily Put Away Audit. Introductory report of bin organization. Handling of tires (e.g., rolling, destacking, team lifting) greater than approximately 70 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Protective equipment required: steel or composite toe boots, safety vest, harness, seatbelt, SRL (self-retracting lifeline). All equipment is provided by U.S. AutoForce except for steel / composite toe boots. Work environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Fumes associated with tires and occasionally car parts and lubricants prevalent. QUALIFICATIONS Good memory and able to work accurately with lengthy part numbers Basic reading and math skills required Above average scanning accuracy 16 years of age - if under 18 as limited by regulation Ability to follow directions and safe operating procedures Neat and well organized Ability to lift up to 80 pounds depending on the location, and work at heights of 25 feet on a regular basis Ability to be trained and use powered industrial trucks (forklifts) and high reach lifts Work on his/her feet for extended periods of time Willing to work overtime as needed Successfully pass a pre-employment drug test (do not test for THC/marijuana) Our company is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to inclusion and diversity.
