Job Description:
Performs Intra-operative monitor procedures in accordance with established policies, procedures, and standards set by Cardiopulmonary Services.
Performs Intraoperative and neuro-monitoring electrophysiological tests including:
Trans cranial Electric Motor Evoked PotentialsSomatosensory Evoked Potentials * Auditory Evoked PotentialsVisual Evoked PotentialsRaw and Quantitative ElectroencephalographyMotor Evoked Potentials Reports all deterioration or aberrancies of signals to monitoring physician and surgical team. Deals with changes and complications to intraoperative monitoring testing in a calm and logical manner. Identifies and saves abnormal wave patterns for physician interpretation. Performs neuro-monitoring, according to procedure, in a timely fashion. Notifies physicians of gross abnormalities and documents that the physician has been notified. Maintains and troubleshoots equipment in accordance with applicable policies and procedures.
Physical Requirements:
Hearing/listening, lifting, manual dexterity, pulling/pushing, seeing, sitting, speaking, squatting/kneeling, standing, and walking.
Required:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one year of intraoperative experience and/or training; or combination of education and experience required.BLS Within 9 months of hire
