About International Project Director (w/m/d)

  Are you an experienced leader with a passion for delivering complex multi-country commercial, medical, and service improvement projects in the pharmaceutical industry? Do you have excellent strategic planning, communication, and people management skills? If so, you might be the perfect fit for our newly created International Project Director role at IQVIA.

  As an International Project Director, you will join our established IPD team and be responsible for setting up, leading and strategically directing multi-service projects for IQVIA’s clients across Europe and beyond. You will be the primary point of contact with the client and managing international teams. You will also work closely with senior customer contacts and IQVIA executives to ensure project alignment, governance and delivery.

  Job Responsibilities

  Manage projects with duration of 1 – 5 years, with a team of between 10 – 100 and with 2 – 10 country involvement and $5 – 50m annual service revenue value

  Direct the hiring and selection process for international project staff by conducting candidate review and participating in the interviewing process

  Translate client strategy into operational delivery against agreed KPIs

  Manage staff and managers, planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance and guiding professional development; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing employee relations issues and resolving problems

  Manage the financial performance of multiple varied projects

  Manage local and international project managers and work alongside the International project administrator team to ensure gold standard service delivery and adherence to the project plan

  Liaise closely with senior European-level customer contacts on a day-to-day basis to ensure project is aligned to customer objectives

  Chair project governance steering committee with participation by C-suite customer contacts and senior IQVIA executives

  Provide proactive guidance to customers around ways to optimize their objectives and drive efficiencies

  Align with local country operations and other International Project Directors to ensure the dissemination of best practice in project management

  Qualifications and Experience

  Significant experience in strategic planning, leading and managing multi-country teams such as commercial, medical affairs or non-promotional customer facing personnel within the pharmaceutical industry

  Fluent in English and local language, both written and spoken

  Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field

  Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills

  Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills

  Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities

  Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management tools

  Willingness to travel as required
