Job Summary
This position is responsible for month-end close process such as reviewing and verifying operating expenses are accurate and complete. This includes reviewing accounts payable transactions, working with the business to accrue for services rendered and not paid. Reviewing and Processing purchase orders and ensuring vendor payment process is working effectively. Tracking Payments, producing necessary Journal Entries, and Escalating vendor payment issues. Ensure accounting processes and procedures are documented and are up to date.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's in accounting or finance, and 3 years corporate accounting experienceManage month-end close process for operating expensesRead and interpret financial and membership reportsAssist in vendor payment processIntermediate to Advanced MS Word and ExcelAnalytical skills; critical thinking Ability to work independently and multi-taskClear, concise written and oral communication with good grammar and word choice, strong organization skillsOther duties as assigned
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
Experience with month-end processes, journal entry submission, account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliationOracle financial systems and Hyperion PBCS forecasting tool experienceRead and interpret financial and membership reportsExperience with vendor payment management and accounts payable processesKnowledge of Insurance and/or Medicaid and Medicare services
