Apple’s Ad Platforms group is looking for an Internal Communications Specialist to write, edit, and produce content across our global internal communications and channels. We’re looking for a dynamic, tech-fluent, highly motivated, and creative communications writer who can help us connect our people to our purpose. In this role, you’ll bring your talents to develop and execute the communications that bring our ideas, products and values to life, connect with teams across geographies and functions, and elevate the employee experience. This role requires expert writing and copy editing skills, strong relationship management, editorial planning, research and interviewing skills, keen attention to detail, ability to work through ambiguity, and multi-functional coordination. You’ll write and edit content for a variety of channels and mediums, and you’ll work closely with internal teams to develop concepts and creative messaging. To succeed in this role, you'll be able to both crisply summarize technical and business concepts and write fresh, energizing copy that connects with audiences and drives engagement and action.
Key Qualifications
An accomplished writer with at least 10 years+ related experience authoring and editing copy for internal communications across a variety of channels for a global audience
5 years+ serving as writer and editorial lead for internal newsletters, tools, and content management systems
Expert command of the English language, grammar, spelling, and punctuation
A deep understanding of storytelling and capturing reader attention
Adept at writing about technology for a wide audience
Ability to learn unfamiliar subject matter quickly and write about it authoritatively
Ability to turn around copy quickly, revise and vet with key partners
Flexibility in writing style and preference, across a range of channels including (but not limited to) video scripts, email, newsletter content, and interviews
Strong ability to drive action through collaboration, proactivity, and flexibility
Experience working with or in a disruptive tech environment, or in an events or communications agency
Proficient in Keynote, Pages; skilled in Slack, Quip; and experience using project management tools
Description
In this role, you’ll be a key member of our Ad Platforms communications function, constantly exploring new ways to engage Apple employees in a rapidly growing area of our business. You’ll be responsible for crafting and maintaining the tone of our org-wide communications, to reach and engage a global and diverse range of internal audiences. The ideal candidate has expert writing and copyediting skills, strong project management skills, experience authoring, editing, and executing multi-channel communication plans, and knows how to interview for and capture great storytelling opportunities. Creativity and the ability to generate fresh ideas for new content is imperative—as is the ability to produce high-quality and high-impact work.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree, editorial writing, communications, events, PR, marketing, or related field preferred.

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $131,300.00 and $250,400.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
