  Responsibilities

  As Internal Communications Senior Specialist for Ascension Indiana, you will develop and implement internal communications for Ascension Indiana that strengthen the culture, employee experience and operational priorities in the market.

  Responsibilities:

  Develop and implement an internal communications plan and content focused on the Indiana market

  Provide internal communications counsel and support to executives and other partner teams

  Combine strategic thinking and big-picture perspective with attention to detail, clarity and focus

  Collaborate with colleagues across the local market as well as enterprise-wide teams to ensure alignment and best practice

  Ensure that communications reflect the Mission, Vision and Values of Ascension as a healing ministry of the Catholic Church

  Maintain flexible availability and responsiveness both during and outside of normal work hours as necessary

  Complexity of Work:

  Requires excellent writing and project management skills, as well as critical thinking, strategic counseling and decisive judgment. Ideally the candidate will also have a knowledge of the evolving healthcare market, Ascension’s history and current initiatives, and communications practices and standards. Must be able to work in a stressful, fast-paced environment#marketingcommunications

  Requirements

  Education:

  High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree with 1 year of experience OR 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

  2 years of leadership or management experience preferred.

  Additional Preferences

  Education:

  Bachelor's degree. 5 years in an internal communications role, ideally with experience working in a healthcare provider system or similar services organization.Work Experience:

  Experience executing against communications plans and campaigns

  Experience with executive communications and counsel

  Adept at the rapid development of content in support of local business, market and organizational communications needs

  Experience working against clearly outlined KPIs and supporting the reporting of results to multiple teams
