Tool Crib Internship
Scot Forge Company is looking to hire a Mechanical Engineering student to work in our Tool Crib Internship for the summer of 2024 at the corporate facility in Spring Grove, IL. This internship will provide a hands-on opportunity to work directly with our manufacturing team on various projects related to tools and parts inventory, asset requirements, and order processing.

Anticipated Projects include:
Intern will provide timely support to all customers visiting the tool crib to ensure necessary supplies and tools are available as needed.
Working in a fast-paced team-oriented environment while maintaining focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.
Will be responsible for assisting in consolidating inventory into kits.
Performs cycle counts and updates in the ERP/CMMS system to ensure inventory accuracy.
Receive, verify, stage and stock all incoming supplies, tools and equipment.
Assist in creation of asset subassemblies and related bill of materials.
Qualifications:
Freshman/Sophomore currently pursuing Mechanical Engineering or equivalent Bachelor’s degree.
Proficient with computers and programs including MS Outlook and MS Excel.
Ability to learn forklift operation.
Working knowledge of ERP/CMMS systems – preferred
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:
Will be working in a plant/production floor environment.
Additional Requirements
Must be authorized to work anywhere in the U.S. without sponsorship
Must be able to pass a 90 day head hair drug test today.
