We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Project Management Intern to join our Services and Delivery team. As a Project Management Intern, you will gain hands-on experience assisting Project Managers in driving both strategic and tactical projects from inception to completion. In this role you must be able and interested in understanding and communicating about technical information and products.Duties & ResponsibilitiesAssist in phases of the project life cycle: initiation, planning, executing, controlling, and closing.Support the definition and documentation of project requirements, scope, budget, deliverables, and timeline.Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to schedule and track the status of projects.Participate in regular project reviews with internal Itron stakeholders to ensure deliverables are on track and any challenges are openly reviewed and addressed.Communicating both written and verbal activities with Itron Project Managers to meet specified project deadlines.Assist with scheduling meetings, taking and distributing notes.Learn and use Microsoft Project software.Gain exposure to project management methodologies.Education: Must be enrolled in an accredited program working towards a degree in project management or related program.Required Skills & ExperienceStrong organizational and time management skills.Ability to work within a cross-functional organization of supporting stakeholders such as sales teams, product managers, developers, finance teams and supporting project management teams.Ability to read and write professional documents (i.e., Statement of Work, Contracts).Professional workplace communication and interpersonal skills, including ability to understand and research technical information.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).Basic understanding of project management principles and methodologies.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team with internal and external stakeholders.Willingness and ability to learn and grow.Ability to work on-site - with hybrid schedule flexibility.Preferred Skills & ExperienceFamiliarity with Microsoft Project.Project Management skills and/or desire for Project Management career.Strong technical interest and curiosity for new technologies.Travel: 0-10%Physical Demands: This is a typical office job, with no special physical requirements or unusual work environment.Itron is committed to building an inclusive and diverse workforce and providing an authentic workplace experience for all employees.
