　　Minimum Requirements And Qualification

　　Junior or senior year in Mechanical Engineering or related field of study1+ years of applicable experienceExperience Preferred:

　　Previous experience in an RandD organizationPrevious experience working with government contractorsExperience with the SolidWorks/CREO tool setExperience with rotating assemblies, motors, and slip ringsKnowledge/Skills Needed:

　　Understanding of technical theories / concepts in field of mechanical engineering design and manufacturingEffective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skillsAbility to work in team environment interacting with a variety of functional areas and management levelsMajor Responsibility Areas And Duties

　　Responsible for designs from conception to manufacturing including library part creation, schematic capture, component placement, and routingResearch new components, technologies, and methods to incorporate into new designsCreates and reviews all documentation required to support mechanical configuration and implementations using the SolidWorks or CREO tool setPerforms mechanical design analyses in support of product development activitiesInterfaces with software, systems, and mechanical engineering disciplines to ensure that the overall design requirements are captured and accomplishedWorks with systems engineers to ensure that all requirements are identified, captured, and analyzed, such that design can be developed that satisfy the requirementsConducts test and evaluation activities on mechanical designs to verify and sign-off of all design requirementsWorks with Project Engineers to ensure design solutions are delivered on time and on budget and meet other project management requirementsOther duties as directed.* Must be able to maintain a school/work schedule of a minimum of 15 hours and a maximum of 29 hours per week *
