  Based in West Hartford CT, Triumph Systems, Electronics and Controls is a leading independent aerospace system supplier for the commercial and military helicopter and business jet markets and employs approximately 500 employees. The Company's key products and services include electronic engine controls, fuel metering units, main fuel pumps and environmental control systems for both the OE and aftermarket/spares end markets.

  Position

  We have an exciting opportunity for anIntern-Electrical Engineeringto join our West Hartford, CT team.Triumph is actively recruiting an Electronics Engineering Intern to support a range of technical responsibilities in a high pace design, manufacturing, production test environment. The internship will provide a college-level student with practical experience related to his or her major that will enhance and complement classroom learning.

  The ideal candidate for this position should have excellent electrical, analytical, and problem-solving skills, good writing ability, and must be self-motivated with good interpersonal and team skills. Familiarity with basic circuit design principles, organization and time management, simulation and test strategies are all required qualities, while pursuing a BS or Advanced degree in Electrical/Electronic engineering.

  Responsibilities

  Collaborate with other cross-functional team leads and engineers to plan and execute tasks.Ensure that all cross-functional team members understand the product's technical capabilities, functionality, and operation.Assist with or generate block diagrams for various design concepts and circuit topologies.Assist with, or perform preliminary and detailed analyses/simulations on either Analog or Digital InterfacesSupport the process that drives overall compliance to TECS internal processes (e.g. NPI, Standard Work, Design Reviews)Support the process to meet or exceed DFx, Design-To-Cost and Design-To-Weight targets.Support internal and external customer meetings and reviews.Support Design Assurance, Verification and/or Qualification TestingTo provide a Universal/Modular platform for new FADEC Development, New Processing System, and Cybersecurity.Development Activities include design PCB lay-out, procurement build and test small matchbox size standalone circuits' for Standard FADEC interfaces, Cybersecurity, Motor/Actuation Control.

  Qualifications

  Qualified can idates must be in their Junior or Senior Year, with a minimum GPA of 3.0. Students in their Sophomore year may be considered, depending on the depth of their knowledge.Pursuing a Bachelors' Degree in Electrical/Electronics, Aerospace Engineering or related field.Good interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels in the organizationKnowledge of basic electrical analysis instruments (i.e. oscilloscopes, multi-meters) to assist with component level analysis'
