JOIN US IN DRIVING HEATHCARE BETTER

Stryker is one of the world’s leading medical technology companies and, together with our customers, we are driven to make healthcare better. We offer innovative products and services in Medical and Surgical, Neurotechnology, Orthopaedics and Spine that help improve patient and hospital outcomes.

We are looking for interns who share our purpose and values in: -

Integrity: We do what’s right.

Accountability: We do what we say.

People: We grow talent.

Performance: We deliver.

We will give you the support you need to forge your own path, and you will have real responsibilities and meaningful projects to work on right from the start.

WHERE YOU FIT IN

Our workplace is special. We feel it when we come to work every day, and others feel it when they interact with us. That feeling is a combination of our highly engaged people, our culture, the work we do for patients and caregivers, and our focus on growth. It is what makes Stryker an incredible place to work.

Each of us has a story about what connects us to Stryker, and one commonality is our deep understanding of the role we play in making healthcare better. We work together with our customers, striving to create quality products that improve and save the lives of millions of people around the world.

Our founder, Dr. Homer Stryker, continues to inspire us. As we have grown from a small family business to a large global company, the essence of Dr. Stryker’s vision remains the same: to make a difference in improving healthcare outcomes. That is why our mission is, “Together with our customers, we are driven to make healthcare better.” Our values of Integrity, Accountability, People and Performance define what we believe and are a set of integrated, guiding principles that reflect our unique DNA.

Our mission and values inspire us to grow and innovate. We are committed to researching and developing new ways to address our customers’ needs and enable our passionately driven employees to help us win in the Med Tech industry.

WHAT’S THE ROLE?

An assessed internship is an excellent way to get to know Stryker from the inside and immerse yourself in the MedTech industry. It can also help you decide what career is right for you. You will have full day-to-day involvement in actual projects, selected to match your interests and abilities.

You will join a project team and work alongside Stryker employees who are all professionals in their fields. Their perspectives will contribute to your understanding of our business, its demands and rewards.

A supervisor and mentor will support you directly and you will undertake regular guidance and / or assessments throughout your internship to ensure you get the most from the experience.

As part of the internship, you will be provided a real project with a significant level of business impact and you will have a formal mid-term review with your supervisor and mentor. At the close of your internship, there will be another final review on project delivery and performance by your supervisor and mentor where you will be asked to prepare a final presentation about your project. Through all these, it would allow you to discover which skills you need to develop, through constructive feedback and develop valuable networks and contracts for future career opportunities.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

You should enjoy being challenged, so that rather than being daunted or overwhelmed if a task seems impossible, you welcome the opportunity to be innovative. You also need to be good at absorbing information, analysing problems, making objective decisions, and coming up with original ideas. You should have the drive, and resilience to get things done, the flexibility to work well as part of a team and the credibility to influence others.
