　　Job Summary

　　The HME Intake Specialist is the primary access point for customers/referral sources seeking home medical equipment, prosthetics, orthotics, and supplies.

　　The Specialist is responsible for verification of customer demographic and financial information including insurance eligibility/benefits, authorizations and completion of all documents required by payers and/or regulatory bodies.

　　Gathers prescriptions and medical records to determine qualifying criteria through knowledge of each payer source rules and regulations.

　　Enters data into the computer system and supports the successful completion of HME orders and provides customer service to both internal and external customers.

　　Education and/or Experience

　　High School diploma or GED required.

　　One-year certificate from a college or technical school or 3 to 6 months of related experience and/or training is preferred.

　　Work Schedule

　　Monday - Friday; 80 hours every 2 weeks

　　8:30 am - 5:00 pm

　　Pay

　　The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

　　$18.25 - $23.00 per hour
