Job Description:
*Essential Job Functions:*
Reconcile commercial payments with general ledger posts from Accounting Department
Post client fee deductions and non-posted services from EOBs into Electronic Health Record
Post private insurance payments into Electronic Health Record
Review and post services into Electronic Health Record that are determined to be write-off (clinical review denial, incomplete admission, spenddown/patient responsibility).
Deliver appropriate, timely reports Director, VP, CFO, and other Executive Team members regarding outstanding Accounts Receivables or other billable services.
Demonstrates interest in long term and short term goals and objectives of the company.
Other duties as assigned by the Director, VP, CFO and/or Executive Team members.
*Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:*
Considerable knowledge in medical billing and collection practices.
Basic knowledge of medical coding and third party operating procedures and practices.
Superior communication and customer service skills
Excellent 10 key and alpha numeric data entry skills with attention to detail
Proficient in common word processing, spreadsheet, database, and web based applications..
*Experience and Education Qualifications:*
High School diploma with courses in typing and business practices; *AND*
At least three (3) years experience in billing position with an emphasis on billing to commercial vendors.

*Employment Requirements:*
Successful completion of background check including criminal record, driving record and abuse/neglect.
Completion of New Hire Orientation at the beginning of employment.
All training requirements including Relias Learning at the beginning of employment and annually thereafter.
