Our work depends on an Instructional Developer joining our team to design and develop training programs using proven adult learning methodologies and techniques. This includes designing and developing engaging learning activities and compelling course content with a strong focus on e-learning that enhances retention and knowledge transfer. A day in the life of the Instructional Designer:
In this role, a typical day will include:
Designing and developing instructional approaches and interactive courseware to meet training requirements
Collaborating with subject matter experts to analyze learning needs, developing instructional strategies, and utilizing various technologies to create engaging and effective learning experiences
Designing curriculum, creating multimedia elements, and employing instructional design principles to enhance the overall learning process
Creating instructional goals and content that supports goals by applying tested instructional design theories, practice, and methods
Creating learning aids (audio, video, simulations, e-learning modules, role plays, games, tests, etc)
Staying abreast of training and development research: learning theory, motivation theory, and new materials, methods, and techniques
Well-qualified candidates will have:
Strong project management skills
An ability to communicate to diverse audiences through verbal and written communication methods
An ability to facilitate courses both in person and virtually, if required
You MUST have:
Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience; AND
2 or more years of related experience with adult learning methodologies and techniques
6 months or more of e-learning design
Demonstrated experience utilizing content authoring tools such Camtasia, Captivate, and Articulate
An ability and willingness to obtain and maintain a government clearance
An ability and willingness to work onsite for a minimum of 2 days per month
