About the Position: Serves as an Installation Manager within Surface Deployment and Distribution (SDDC). Incumbent has responsibility for advising, assisting, and representing the organization in all areas of Installation management and directs the staff performing Installation support functions. Direct the staff that performs the installation support functions to oversee program objectives. Oversee short, mid and long-range budgetary planning of installation support activities. Prepare and integrate the implementation of command installation policies and procedures to support the Command's mission. Plan, assign and evaluate work accomplished by subordinates. Providing logistical advice in support activities to include public works, facilities engineering, and logistics of supply and maintenance functions, emergency services and information technology. Recommending and allotting resources among multiple projects. Monitoring contracts and contractors' performance. Assisting with planning and developing command installation policies and procedures to support the Command's mission and programs. Preparing reports of evaluations and providing recommendations for the installation Commander. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
