Eaton’s ES AMER ESS is currently seeking a Inspector C - 3rd Shift to join our Lincoln Ave. team in Waukesha, WI!
The hourly rate for this position is $24.50 per hour + $2.50/hr shift premium. The core hours are 10 pm - 6 am.

This position is offering a sign-on bonus of $3,000*, less applicable withholding .

Bonuses are being offered for a limited time only. Applications must be submitted on or after January 1 st , 2024 to qualify.
Bonuses are only applicable to specific job types and shifts; additional terms and conditions may apply.
Associates must be employed at the time of the payout.
Bonuses will be payable in two installments: $1,000, less applicable withholding will be paid after three (3) months of employment and the remaining $2,000, less applicable withholding will be paid after nine (9) months of employment

What you’ll do:
The Inspector/Tester performs assembly inspection of transformers/regulators at various locations in the assembly plants per established procedures. They perform electrical testing on assembled single and three phase transformers/regulators per established procedures and monitor conformance to quality standards.
In this function you will:
Perform routine factory dielectric tests per established procedures, including OX (induced), QC impulse, and hipot (applied potential).
Perform routine factory loss tests per established procedures, including load loss (winding loss), no-load loss (core loss) and VFI Test.
Perform power factor, ratio, and resistance tests per established procedures.
Perform continuity test on unit per established procedures.
Inspect unit nameplate, stamp impedance value on nameplate, and secure nameplate to tested unit.
Perform visual inspections on interior of unit upon completion of testing.
Perform minor maintenance of test equipment.
Perform special routine tests when required.
Perform all responsibilities of the Inspector, including, but not limited to:
Apply decals and stencils to exterior of unit and perform paint millage checks
Assist Engineering and Manufacturing in identifying and resolving shop floor problems.
Complete various company forms to communicate inspection status and other information and to document inspection results per established procedures.
Collect various types of data per established procedures as required
Qualifications:
High school graduate or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
Minimum of one year of experience as a transformer or regulator assembler, or equivalent experience in electronics or electrical assembly, HVAC, or variable frequency drive assembly.
Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and in the future

Preferred Qualifications:
Education in AC/DC fundamentals, or equivalent knowledge of electrical or electronics prints or schematics.Skills:
Ability to work with a minimum amount of supervision.
Ability to interpret all levels of prints and applicable engineering and quality specifications.
Demonstrated effective communication skills
Ability to work overtime when required.
Ability to lift up to 50 LBS; bend, twist, grab, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, use both hands to lift and lower materials, and perform all other essential duties with or without reasonable accommodations
