  Insomniac produces some of the most innovative, immersive music events in the world.   Insomniac Clubs are focused on creating a best-in-class experience for our Headliners. Our expanding roster of club partners includes some of the world's top venues, delivering performances from globally renowned DJs backed by top-notch sound and visuals. The diverse calendar of events celebrates the electronic dance music community and culture, offering an endless range of experiences. Insomniac Clubs includes venues such as Exchange, Academy LA, Avalon, Time Nightclub, Nova SD and Bloom.

  THE ROLE

  Insomniac Clubs is seeking a highly motivated and proactive Junior Graphic Designer with an impeccable attention to detail and strong design sense to join the design team. They will assist the developing designs, resizing created material, and solving problems inherent in designing for multiple formats. The designer must present an enthusiastic view at growing and developing their craft. This position reports to the Graphic Design Manager and Art Director.

  RESPONSIBILITIES

  Support internal and external digital and print media design for all Insomniac projects and brands

  Ability to create materials based on existing style guides to fit brand image

  Maintain quality, organization and proper optimization for all digital platforms

  Experienced in photo retouching, photo-manipulation and compositing

  Retouch artwork according to the creative recommendations and production specifications and expectations

  Responsible of upholding design/brand standards and file naming conventions

  Brainstorm with marketing team and ability to collaborate with various teams to conceptualize creative graphic communications fulfilling project objectives

  Stay up-to-date on latest industry standards and trends for programs, hardware and design to better develop creative and innovative ways to make graphic assets visually engaging

  Foundational understanding of different art concepts

  Flexibility and willingness to learn

  Embrace constructive feedback and comfortable with hands on teaching

  Other design requirements as necessary

  Additional projects assigned as needed

  QUALIFICATIONS

  2+ years experience in the Graphic Design field

  Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or similar field

  Basic knowledge of animation, particularly in After Effects, is desired

  Intermediate knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite – Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.

  Intermediate hierarchy, layout and typography skill set

  Knowledge of color theory and balance is a must

  Excellent attention to detail; possesses organizational skills

  Experience in reformatting and resizing digital and print files to multiple dimensions and file format

  Sketching and illustration ability, along with growing skills in photo retouching, photo-manipulation and compositing is a plus

  Knowledge of EDM and Insomniac artists/ brands is preferred

  WORK ENVIRONMENT

  Must be able to tolerate loud noise levels and busy environments

  Willing to work on the weekends if required

  Hiring Salary Range: $21.00 - $26.00 USD

Similar positions located outside of California will not necessarily receive the same compensation. Insomniac takes into consideration a candidate’s education, training, and experience, as well as the position’s work location, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value, including seniority and merit systems, and internal pay alignment when determining the salary level for potential new employees.
