Salary: $21.63 - $26.44 per hour plus commission!
Locations: Carson, CA; Union City, CA; Portland, OR; and Fife, WA.
Job Description:
The Inside Sales Executive (ISE) role is a position that will execute on specific, defined objectives to exceed customer expectations as well as work collaboratively within a given region to identify lead generation and prospecting/pre-qualifying for Sales Executives. Responsibilities will include; prospecting, new business development, account implementation, and transactionally selling within a defined sales region the portfolio of Forward Air products, services, and solutions. This role is both a prospector and a hunter, providing consistent virtual engagement in an assigned market based geographic territory to achieve personal and company sales goals for small-to-medium business (SMB) customers.

Core Responsibilities & Duties:
Lead generation & prospecting/pre-qualifying by geography
Manage and maintain an effective territory management plan
Manage and maintain a minimum daily talk time in a virtual environment of 4+ hours with customers via telephone and Microsoft Teams completing a minimum of 25-30 completed prospecting virtual sales calls per day via telephone & Microsoft Teams and an additional 25-30 customer email touch points per day to support customer revenue growth within the assigned region
Clear, articulate, and consistent verbal communication that will effectively translate the Forward Air value proposition to the SMB customer segment to grow revenue in a virtual environment
Utilize and master our CRM application (salesforce.com)
Initiate support for key sales initiatives for the commercial-direct sales org
Account revenue growth for net new logos (NNLs) in the SMB customer segment supporting companies that spend up to $100k annually in transportation
Manage and maintain an effective call cycle of customers in the SMB segment to support revenue growth within the region
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business, Sales or a related field is a plus
0-2 years of experience in sales, preferably in the transportation or logistics industry
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
Knowledge of Salesforce software and Microsoft Office Suite
Familiarity with the transportation and logistics industry is a plus
Ability to travel overnight if/when necessary to provide regional support
Skills:
The ideal candidate will possess a “can do” attitude with a “will do” work ethic
Must have the ability to work in a fast paced/high volume sales environment
